Foodbank Farm Donations
We believe that everyone should have access to fresh local fruits and vegetables, so we have partnered with our local food banks to provide hungry families with our produce in a variety of ways. We are committed to providing opportunities for children to experience a working farm and taste food fresh from the field, where inevitably they rediscover the true sweet flavor of freshly harvested vegetables and fruits. We are focused on sharing the skill sets of growing and cooking freshly harvested produce.
Helsing Junction Farm created the CSA Food Bank program to help low income families access fresh local produce through the food bank. Every season we accept donations from our members and we then match those funds, allowing us to deliver CSA boxes directly to families who rely on the food bank for some of there dietary needs. This has proven to be very successful and the families who have participated have been extremely appreciative. We want to expand this program and we suggest a donation of $1.00 a week (our season runs for 18 weeks) for a total of $18.00 for the season. We also accept larger donations.
